Check out the About Adopted Paws link and read the full review by William Phenn of Reader Views who said " Adopted Paws was one of the funniest and most interesting animal books I have read in a long time...I give it an A and recommend it to all animal lovers."

Why did I write Adopted Paws? What is it like living with a zoo? What am I working on next? For answers to these questions, please check out the radio interview by Juanita Watson from Reader Views by clicking on the link below.

Have you ever been to Fantasy Fest?

To view some of the other wild life in the Keys, please visit Flippers and Claws. Where you can find some photos from the 2007 Fantasy Fest in Key West.

Have you ever seen a new born manatee? Have you ever been to the Florida Keys Wild Bird Sanctuary?

Then please let me introduce you to Flippers and Claws, where you will find not only the typical Florida wildlife, but also Bonnie and Clyde - mother manatee and newborn. Clyde is a bit of a miracle. If you look closely at Bonnie's tail, you will see a trailing tag. Poor mom's flipper was severed and the wildlife service tracks and frees her from fishing line and nets in which she frequently gets caught. A manatee's mammary glands are located under her flippers, so we were amazed and happy that not only was Bonnie able to give birth but also that Clyde was able to nurse.

I spent my last birthday at the Wild Bird Sanctuary. I posted some of my photos in the Flippers and Claws Gallery, but my photos can not do justice to what a marevlous and important place the Sanctuary is. I really suggest visiting the sanctuary yourself and leaving a donation for this group who does so much for these stranded birds To find out more about the Wild Bird Center please visit:

I promised to introduce other Florida Keys authors, musicians and artists to those who might not yet appreciate the depth of talent perfecting their art in this sub-tropical venue. So on the links page, I have included a starter course of my favorite local novelist, musicians, book store, wine guild, restaurants and art gallery. Please watch this space as I hope there will be more to come!
